SABC3’s ‘It’ girls
to present LIVE at the J&B Met

_{On Saturday 2nd February, SABC3 will be adding an extra sparkle to one of Cape
Town’s top fashion and racing events – the J&B Met, with SA’s ultimate
authorities in glamour presenting live from the red carpet}

_{‘It’ girls Jeannie D and Bonang Matheba will be reporting live from
the frontlines at Cape Town’s Kenilworth Race Course, along with the
fashionista himself, Somizi Mhlongo, joined by sports presenter
Vaylen Kirtley . As the hosts of this prestigious event, the four
presenters will bring up-to-the-minute horse racing, fashion news, action and
the low down from behind the scenes right to the viewers’ living rooms. Expect
live interviews, celebrity fashion, designer do’s and don’ts, and their votes
on the best (and worst) dressed.  They’ll be needing plenty of help from the armchair critics, so viewers need to follow
@SABC3 on Twitter and tweet them their expert fashion advice for the stars!

 _{As the lifestyle anchor, Jeannie D will be stationed at fashion central, on the
J&B red carpet. Bonang will be the official celebrity schmoozer, poised
inside the J&B marquee, and Somizi will be entertaining viewers with his
tongue-in-cheek quips between ‘plebville’ and the hospitality village.}

 _{For the avid equestrians – SABC sports presenter Vaylen Kirtley will bring
the viewers up to speed, giving you race side seats to all the latest from the
track.}

Zen emphasizes experiential wisdom in the attainment of enlightenment. As such, it de-emphasizes theoretical knowledge in favor of direct self-realization through meditation and dharma practice. The teachings of Zen include various sources of Mahāyāna thought, including the Prajñāpāramitā literature, Yogācāra and the Tathāgatagarbha Sutras.

The emergence of Zen as a distinct school of Buddhism was first documented in China in the 7th century CE. From China, Zen spread south to Vietnam, and east to Korea and Japan. As a matter of tradition, the establishment of Zen is credited to the South Indian Pallava prince-turned-monk Bodhidharma, who came to China during the rise of Tamil Buddhism in Tamilakam to teach a “special transmission outside scriptures, not founded on words or letters”.
